This crossword puzzle generator is a simple tool to create crossword puzzles easily and quickly. The questions and answers are typed into the generator and several solution words can also be entered. After the puzzle has been generated, you can change the layout by clicking again until it fits. If letters needed for the solution word are missing in the puzzle, they are pre-filled. You can download the finished puzzle as SVG if you want to print it out or export it as PNG. Without an account, one can create puzzles, but not save, share or edit them. A free registration is required for this. Registration is also necessary to publish a puzzle so that other users can solve it online or to share the link to the XWords puzzle. When publishing, one can decide whether the puzzle is to be shared with the community and published on the community page or not. After publishing a puzzle, one can also upgrade it to a Premium XWord, which will display it without advertising.
